Liz completed a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology (2017) and a master’s degree in Applied Clinical Psychology (2020), both from the University of South Carolina. She is a licensed therapist in both South Carolina (LPC; Licensed Professional Counselor) and North Carolina (LCMHC; Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor). She began her clinical career in 2019 by working in case management in Aiken, SC at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, later followed by intensive outpatient care where she was a group therapy facilitator for both the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. She then began Private Practice in Huntersville, NC in 2021. Liz’s own life experiences led her to incorporate Yoga into her personal self-care practice, which illuminated a passion for integrating somatic-based interventions into psychotherapy.

Since starting private practice, Liz completed EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) training in providing EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and holds an Evergreen certification as a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Trauma Sensitive Yoga trained by Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) at the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resource Institute (JRI).

Outside of work, Liz enjoys reading fiction novels, crocheting, and cooking. A few fun facts…her favorite recently completed tv-show is Stranger Things, she has a 20-year-old Siamese cat named Mimz (affectionately nicknamed “Moo-Moo”), and is a second-generation American of Sicilian descent.
